July 28, 2016

Welcome, welcome! It's Thursday 13 time, the place where all you need to do is make a list of 13 and the subject doesn't matter.

Join in by listing your books, your pictures, the names of your favorite (or not-so-favorite) relatives, or whatever strikes your fancy. We like it all.

Sign up with Mr. Linky after the Fun Fact and we will come around for a visit. We hope you will visit us, too. Making friends is what it is all about.

Fun Fact

On July 28, 1866, artist Vinnie Ream became the first woman and at age 18 the youngest sculptor ever to receive a commission from the U.S. government. She sculpted a life-size Carrera marble statue of President Abraham Lincoln, which was placed in the U.S. Capitol in 1871.
