On October 11, 1991, a Supreme Court confirmation hearing riveted the US. The US Senate Judiciary Committee called a former assistant to Supreme Court nominee Clarence Thomas to testify regarding her time working for him. What Anita Hill told the panel caused a firestorm of controversy and opened up a national debate around workplace sexual harassment. Obviously said debate is still ongoing, has not been resolved, and women are still not considered human in the eyes of many men.
