Today's Fact

On March 8, 1911, a plumber's daughter from Paris, having convinced an aviator friend, Charles Voisin, to instruct her in how to fly an airplane, demonstrated her flying skills to the Aero-Club of France which awards her a pilot's license, the first ever issued to a woman. The woman's name was Raymonde de Laroche.

  1. I love that she got her License. It wouldn't have happened in the USA of that time. Nooooooo

  2. I love your this day in history facts. Thanks.

Welcome to Thursday Thirteen, and thanks for playing!
