February 8, 2018

Hello again! You've reached Thursday Thirteen, the place where the meme's made up and the topic doesn't matter.

To play Thursday 13, make a list of 13 things on a Thursday. You can talk about whatever is on your mind, books, etc. You can even make a list of your scars or the items on your refrigerator if you want. Show us your photos of something. We like it all!

Join in by signing up with Mr. Linky after Today's Fact.
______________
Today's Fact

On February 8, 1587, Mary, Queen of Scots, at the age of 44, was executed via beheading at the order of England's Queen Elizabeth I. Mary Stuart, who became queen at the age of 6 and spent most of her childhood in France while Scotland was ruled by regents. She ultimately became Queen of Scotland and after two marriages she lost rule when her one-year-old son by her second husband was declared king. She sought refuge from the Queen of England, who was her cousin. England's queen kept Mary Stuart in various castles and manors for 18 years before finally saying, "Off with her head" after hearing that Mary Stuart had been convicted of a plot to assassinate England's monarch.
