Hello again! Welcome to Thursday 13, the meme where you write about 13 things.
Thursday 13 has been around a long time - and we hope you will join in. It's an easy meme because we have no rules except that you write about 13 things. What kind of things? Anything! Your thoughts, your messy desk items, your kitchen utensils - whatever floats your boat. There is a list of ideas at the top of the blog. So join us, won't you?

Today's Fact
On August 17, 1969, America's Gulf Coast was slammed by a monstrous Category 5 hurricane, whose vortex of clouds filled almost the entire Gulf of Mexico. It packed 175-mph winds and pushed a storm surge 24 feet high as it raged into the US at the mouth of the Mississippi River. In the end, Camille killed 259 people and caused $1.42 billion in damage. (It came up into Virginia and flooded our area, too. It is the first flood I remember. - CD)
